Fits Mikuni Rack Style Carburetors: 38mm, 40mm, and 42mm
Simply put, the Fuel Baffle keeps the fuel in the bottom portion of the float bowl around the main jet where it belongs.
Many a Snow-Cross racer has found out how important it is to keep fuel in the bottom half of the float bowl. Hard landings with the throttle pinned causes the fuel to get splashed away from the main jet producing engine seizures.
Constant running on rough terrain can produce erratic fuel supply causing fuel cavitation and engine temperatures to increase. Mountain riding is another situation where sleds are constantly changing from uphill to side-hill, downhill or jumps. The fuel is constantly being sloshed around and can’t possibly be staying put in the bottom of the float bowl.
The Fuel Baffle is a great little product made from corrosion proof stainless steel. Best of all, they are inexpensive and easy to install. Installation is an easy 15-minute job once you have the carbs off. No tuning is required. Install and forget. Enjoy the peace of mind.
